There’s something intimate and amazing about the bond of a mother and her child. The way only she knows that he doesn’t like putting on his jacket, but waves his hands around in excitement once it’s on. Little things that make Carson, Carson.

Editing this shoot had me grinning ear to ear. I’m serious-I laughed and cried through 75% of these frames. I have so much respect for this kick-butt single mom and am happy to also call her a new friend.

Childhood is just a blink-and I’m happy that this blink, this day, will always be something to look back on. Thank you Steph for trusting me to capture these moments between you and your son. You’re an exceptional mother.
